From to fragrance-led lists to Surrealism-inspired serves, leading mixologists are releasing ever more creative cocktail menus which capture the consumer imagination. Here’s a Top 10

While many bars have unusual themes to stand out from the crowd, it takes a lot more to create a truly innovative cocktail menu brimming with expertly crafted drinks. So much so, there’s even an award for the World’s Best Cocktail Menu by the Cocktail’s Spirited Awards.

Here’s a TOP 10 List of bars currently pioneering a unique new cocktail vision – in no order or preference

Quinary Bar, Hong Kong – who’s first to use Jägermesiter as a “main ingredient” for its cocktails

Nightjar, London – who’s divided their menu into four sections – Pre-Prohibition, Prohibition, Postwar and Signature

The Dead Rabbit Grocery & Grog, New York – who’s divided theirs into Winter 1850, Spring 1851, Summer 1851, Fall 1851

The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin – that serves up the premium La Nuit de L’Homme by Yves Saint Laurent

The Envoy, Hong Kong – which we first spotted for its winning “Dewdrops of the Heart” (redistilled pandan vodka, tea and pandan syrup)

Mr Fogg’s, Mayfair, London – for its “groundbreaking” Around the World in 80 Cocktails

The Farm, Hong Kong – features a herb-inspired cocktail menu using ingredients grown on its “urban farm”

Trick Dog, San Francisco – described as a “kick ass, well-made, no bullshit, neighborhood cocktail bar with great music, delicious drinks and food”

Artesian, London – Inspired by erotic cookbook Les Diners de Gala by Surrealist artist Salvador Dali, the menu stays true to its surrealist theme throughout and gives drinkers a whole new perspective on flavours by pairing seemingly opposing ingredients.
