RARE EDITIONS ONLY

06 Jun 2021 By

Singapore is Now Home to the World’s First Distillers Library by William Grant & Sons, An Exclusive Invite-Only Enclave Housing Some of the Oldest, Rarest Whiskies From the Grant Family Archives.

The Distillers Library, “hidden” within the independent family-owned distiller’s Singapore office on Robinson Road, is designed to host whisky connoisseurs and private clients in style. Polished, tasteful and quietly masculine, it’s a suitably luxurious showcase for the curated portfolio of exceptionally rare expressions from William Grant & Sons’ oldest, deepest and most comprehensive reserves.

Invited guests will be granted privileged access to strictly private releases like the Ladyburn Edition One – a 54-year-old whisky that was distilled in the ghost Ladyburn distillery in 1966. Created in the 1960s, the distillery was one of the most technologically advanced single malt Scotch distilleries of its time. With only 210 bottles available worldwide, the precious bottling is a poetic partnership with revered UK photographer David Bailey, whose photos of a long gone London cityscape of the sixties grace its labels. This is the first in a series of collections that will feature an artist collaboration.

“Rare single malt whisky is amongst the most coveted objects of desire today, and we wanted to create a private space where connoisseurs and collectors could discover, immerse in and experience our most exclusive Glenfiddich and The Balvenie expressions and cask drawings,” said Doug Bagley, Chief Commercial Officer at William Grant & Sons. “The Distillers Library aims to nurture intimate conversations with those who are truly passionate about the art of whisky so that decades of legacy can be shared and discerning collectors are able to appreciate the values held dear by William Grant & Sons.”
