David Fuhrmann-Lim

Curator

I love to take pop-culture down the rabbit hole, as a patron saint of black humour, Buddha of beats and books, and (officially) a Content Specialist and Brand Editor with many years of editorial and creative experience.

I have worked with MTV Asia, Bauer Media and Singapore Airlines, and am currently the Curator+Editor of Parched, an online magazine devoted to cocktail culture and the booze business. I have written for WallpaperVinePair, the Michelin Guide and am one of the authors of the Louis Vuitton City Guide—Singapore edition. I’ve judged various cocktail competitions, including the Campari Bartending Competition 2019 and Remy Martin Cocktail Competition 2022.

I was also a Contributing Editor at Female Magazine (during which I helped to launch their website (www.femalemag.com.sg) and, before that, was the Editor-in-Chief of the award-winning men’s lifestyle magazine Singapore FHM. While I was there I collaborated with Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific on a marketing project and we won the Gold Award Cannes Lions Festival 2007 for our poster branding campaign.

I also spent three years in MTV Asia’s fledgling seasons as a promos producer/director, where I won awards for various humourous edgy spots.

I have published two books (Sniffing The Equator, 99). 99 Stories Dreams Poems just won a Pencil at London’s D&AD 2017 Awards.

My two plays Scratching and Syzygy won the first and second prizes at Action Theatre’s 10-Minute Playwriting Contest.

I photograph as well, but you already knew that.
