New Singapore Gin Makers Zhen Gin Kicks Off Fundraiser #BarTabSg To Help Bartenders-In-Need.
In these strange, virus-darkened days, it’s heartening to see various players step up to support our local F&B industry. The latest is Zhen Gin, Asia’s first climate-positive sipping gin, an intriguing new entry to the market we can’t wait to taste.
The unlikely brainchild of local entrepreneur and philanthropist Terence Loh and environmental scientist Min Teo, Zhen Gin is an eco-friendly spirit that is distilled from typhoon-damaged rice crops from Taiwan. It supports the affected farmers through fair trade, while inadvertently reducing potential methane emissions.
Help arrives in the form of the #BarTabSg Relief Fund, set up to lend financial support to bartenders and barbacks adversely affected by Covid-19. From now til 30th June 2020, 20% of the sales of Zhen Gin is channeled into a community fund that’ll be distributed equally amongst eligible applicants. Successful applicants will also be able to get a separate 20% of the revenue through direct sales that they make.

Zhen Gin retails at $150 (U.P. $180) for 500ml or $60 for the mini bottle of 180ml, with islandwide delivery. Delivery is for purchases above $150, while a $5 delivery fee applies for purchases below $150.
