Alila Purnama (translated as The Full Moon), is the most luxurious live-aboard Phinisi boat in the region, providing ultra-modern and relaxing accommodation for up to 10 guests.

Handcrafted in the traditional style of a Phinisi – as used by the Bugis seafarers from south Sulawesi in Indonesia – the 46-metre long vessel has three decks, and the furniture throughout the ship is custom-made from teak, rattan and other locally sourced materials from Indonesia. Starting in May, the boat will begin its tour of the komodo Island region.

The Komodo National Park – established in 1980 – was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1986.

Komodo National Park is located in the center of the Indonesian archipelago between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores. The World Heritage site is blessed with secluded beaches, over 260 coral species and more than 1,000 species of fish, marine reptiles, dolphins, manta rays, turtles, whales and dugongs.

Look who’s stalking…

The national park lies in the famous Coral Triangle – the global heart of marine bio-diversity. It contains hundreds of unique species such as wild boars, water buffalos, deers, monkeys and the famous Komodo Dragons. The Komodo Dragon is the largest land-dwelling reptile in the world, and their footprints are often seen along pink sandy beaches, or while hiking in the hills accompanied by knowledgeable park rangers. The trip includes live-aboard meals and accommodation for 10 persons, unlimited dives, water activities and shore excursions.

Komodo Island expeditions are available from May 3 to September 26, 2015. Private charters (full ship chartering) may be tailored to guests’ preferred itineraries and sailing duration, subject to availability. Full charter of Alila Purnama starts at S$14,782.10++ per night.

Alila Purnama is open for limited edition voyages which cater to individual reservations (two persons sharing a suite). Several trips from May 16 to September 19, 2015 are available based on two people sharing a cabin, for six nights from S$17,133.70++ for a standard suite, and S$20,157.40++ for the master suite.
