We’ve all had workweeks that require punctuation in the form of a nice stiff drink. Normally I’d order a gin martini with a couple olives on a Friday evening, but when Friday evening finds you basking in an ocean breeze in West Palm Beach, you don’t need extra brine in your glass. At the bar at Michelle Bernstein’s—the Miami chef’s excellent new restaurant in The Omphoy Ocean Resort—I ordered an elderflower gimlet. The gimlet is a martini made with lime and, in this case, Hendrick’s—the small-batch Scottish gin infused with rose and cucumber.
