GOOD 10 – EVIL 0
01 Feb 2017 By David Fuhrmann-Lim
So much bad news is coming out of the US of A, it’s enough to think it’s the end times. But there’s also a lot of good stuff to celebrate, so we want to focus on that instead. (For starters, Ben Affleck WILL NOT be directing The Batman)…
Yes, it was the Ben Affleck bit of news (NOT DIRECTING THE BATMAN) that prompted me to write this Good Vs Evil story. It all seems a bit apocalyptic now, but we’re not gonna let the orange toadstool – or Affleck for that matter – ruin everything for us.
Here are some other things we could focus on:
The country gave us bourbon.
And the Superbowl, edition Roman 51 is on Feb 5, 2017. Here’s what you need to know.
And Samantha Bee, raging against the dark dark night.
And the Champagne Machine Gun, for when you absolutely have to spray someone with that bottle of Krug.
And Neil deGrasse Tyson, a man of science. Also chemistry, for without chemistry there’s no bourbon, beer or bubbly.
Ride sharing app LYFT has surged (see what we did there) above Uber in app downloads after the latter company was purportedly taking Trump’s side in the travel ban – and profiteering from it. #DeleteUber is still trending.
The Lemmy. Click here if you don’t know Jack.
There’s a ‘Syria Supper Club‘, a twice-weekly fundraiser for refugees attempting to forge a connection between families by pairing Syrian cuisine with American hospitality.
Nobel Laureate Bob Dylan to release triple album of other people’s songs.
They invented beer cans. So, er, yes they can.
