GUEST SHIFTS GALORE

04 May 2023 By

So Many to Look Forward to Over The Next Few Weeks. Some are SG Cocktail Festival-Related, Some Are Brand-Related — All Are Recommended.

Let’s do this.

Smoke & Mirrors, 1 St. Andrew’s Road, #06-01 National Gallery Singapore

May 7, 2023, 8pm to 12mn.

Experience The House Collective’s high-energy and tipple-fuelled takeover shift, featuring four of their finest bartenders worldwide, along with their signature cocktails.

• Located at The Upper House, Gail Lanorias is the Operations Manager of Salisterra Bar in Admiralty, Hong Kong. As a sommelier and bartender aficionado, she showcases her extensive knowledge of beverages in her tequila-based cocktail, Salty Storm. This cocktail is inspired by China’s famous Salty Lime brand of lemon-lime soda and offers a perfect blend of sweet and sour flavours that will tantalise your taste buds.

SM x THC - Union Bar

• In Beijing’s The Opposite House, Harry Zhang, Head of Bars at UNION, showcases his innovative and inventive flair with Frugal Hemingway, a zesty and fruity rum cocktail that’s elevated with the flavours of grapefruit, lime, plum, and tomato.

• Located in The Middle House in Shanghai, Matthew Halls, Head of Bars at Cafe Gray Deluxe, draws inspiration from his travels around the globe to create the Cheese Teh Tarik cocktail. This unique bourbon-based concoction is infused with parmesan and elevated with cold brew tea, pistachio orgeat, and sweet jaggery, resulting in a deliciously complex and flavourful drink.

• William Zhang, the skilled Head Bartender of Jing Bar at The Temple House in Chengdu, showcases his craft with the innovative Eco Rouge cocktail. This unique tipple is made by shaking a blend of red wine, Thai Montenegro, and Raspberry Vinegar, resulting in a bold and complex flavour profile that will impress.
