You’ll be amazed how much this Hennessy X.O Exclusive by designer Tom Dixon costs…

Tom Dixon (awarded Designer of the Year 2014, Maison & Objet, Paris) has just unveiled his latest creative work on the iconic Hennessy X.O bottle. The collaboration took three years to execute, and was conceived as a trilogy.

Tom Dixon

One of Tom Dixon’s famous works are these brass Pendant lamps.

Imagined since 2013 by the British Designer, the concept was to create a collection of contemporary rendition of the Maison’s carafe as a rising crescendo; this triptych of objects, shapes and effects embodies the three gold equations. Moving from the deepest copper shade in 2013, to a bold silver version in 2014, to the brightest and purest yellow gold this year – which we witnessed – as the final exhibit of this Hennessy X.O Exclusive Collection. The gold liquid, of course, remains the same.

The bottle is limited edition. So you’re asking – how much does this cost?

Hennessy Tom Dixon

It costs… exactly the same as a regular bottle of Hennessy X.O!

The iconic Hennessy X.O carafe has gone through many iterations, through collaborations with artists and designers, and though the brand is still celebrating its 250th anniversary, the incomparable blend has remained the same since its creation.

As a quotidian or quality cognac it is still best enjoyed whenever you can, whether straight, on the rocks or with a splash of still water – served with ice in a large and generous stemmed glass. It’s complex, robust, oaky, reminiscent of old libraries and plush leather couches, a drink to sip and savour. Share it, don’t spare it.

Although we’re definitely going to hang on to our Tom Dixon special, just for a while more…

S$380 (before GST) per bottle and is available from Le Vigne, 72 Namly Place.
