Portrait2mix is a mobile bar company that mixes (ha!) cocktails with models/talents. It was created by entrepreneur Eunice Low and bartender/mixo Pan. You might have seen them around at media launches, parties or maybe a really fun wedding – they’re the ones providing the bespoke cocktails and eye candy. We first met them at The Macallan Rare Cask party and decided that they’d be good to chat with.

Eunice and Pan with the talents they provide.

What’s the idea behind your company – how did it start?
Eunice Low: We realised that in the current market, companies either provide modelling talents or a mobile bar. We decided to have both, it’s called Portrait2Mix for a reason: Portrait for models/talents and Mix is for mixology. We create bespoke cocktails specially for any event, and we will not re-use the concoction unless clients request it.

White Safari Pool Party

What’s the most interesting project you’ve done?
EL: The White Safari Pool Party held at One Degree 15 (above), a poolside party for Snow Leopard Vodka. We had to make vodka cocktails and it was exciting as well because we were also serving many other spirits like Brugal, London No.3 Gin and Macallan. Our bartenders had to create bespoke cocktails throughout the night, based on what the guests wanted.

How do you keep ahead of the competition?
EL
: Our motto is Fashionable, Passionate, Unique. Whether it’s our cocktails, bartenders or models, they’ll keep to our ethos. Our cocktails are all bespoke cocktails that are done specially to fit the event, guests will never be able to get the exact same cocktails at any other places and parties, and our mixologist does his own home-cooked syrup as well.

What’s your favorite cocktail?
Pan: Amaretto Sour, I like the fruitiness and the sweet and sour that goes with it.

The best hangover cure?
P: A nice bowel of double-boiled chicken soup in my opinion.

How do you deal with peaky/rude customers?
P: Always keep a smile on, and just respond to them politely.

The Smooch, one of their many unique creations

What have you learned about life from behind the bar?
P: I think the most important thing I picked up is communication skills, which is what makes each bartender different; the customer will come back to you because of your personality.
