OUR HAPPY HOUR
05 Apr 2022 By David Fuhrmann-Lim
Round-up the Posse, Count to Ten and Head Out.
Warning: Lord of the Rings reference ahead. King Theoden, upon hearing news of the death of his son Boromir, says, “The young perish, and the old linger.” Not without a hint of regret and rancour. His arch reflects a man who sees a lifetime of mistakes, a man who missed too many birthdays, a man who needs to head out to battle.
So yes, the young perish and the old linger, but the thirsty ones will head out and get a drink. Here’s our happy hour round-up:
Chura Sushi Bar
Wait, what, we’re reviewing a sushi joint? Wait till you read about their HH deal.
Happy Hour
Sundays to Thursdays, starts at 5pm (not valid on eve of PH and PH).
The deal: house cocktails like the quaffable Saketini (S$18, above) are 1 for 1. Also worth springing for are the Chura Sour (S$15) and the Chura Sling (S$18). Full pints of Asahi beers are at $9 for the dry and $10 for Asahi Black.
Pair that with sashimi of the day at $1 each slice, and bar bites — agedashi tofu, truffle edamame and fried chicken wasabi — at $3 each, and that’s your evening sorted.
