Catch Super Loco’s New Tequila and Mezcal Flights. And Remember Kids, Sip, Not Shoot.
Super Loco has a new food menu and it’s supplemented by their new tequila and mezcal flights as well. Plan your itinerary now. (And leave the salt and lime to the bros).

All healthy, and sometimes spicy, Mexican fare, served fresh and flavourful. Standout dishes include the Ceviche (above, $18+), with red snapper soaked in mint, serrano chilli, lime and purslane (a succulent leaf); Tostaditas De Cangrejo ($16+), a Blue Swimmer Crab with habanero mayo, spring onions and avocado purée. My fav was the Mariscos Veracruzana ($42+), a slurpfest of a fish dish starring a red snapper with clams, tomatoes, capers, olive, serrano, parsley and toasted seaweed oil.
Drink at Super Loco
All types of agave spirits, obvs, now easier to experience with its new mezcal and tequila flights. Take intro Flight 101 to Mexico, ideal for those who enjoy their spirits smooth and sublime.
The Olmeca Altos Plata (above) is citrusy and peppery and is particularly robust and delightful – chase it with cinnamom; Pierde Almas 9 Botanicals is overwhelmed with juniter and gin flavours, and is an acquired taste; while Fortaleza Anejo is crème brulee-smooth with floral and honey notes. Remember, good tequila is for sipping.

Mezcal is funkier, smokier and maybe even mysterious-er, so take Flight 505 to Oaxaca to try it. If you wanna go super premium, then opt for Flight 808 – First Class to Tequila Town – which features the best of rare aged tequila.

Your first cocktail though should be the Mayan Mule ($18+) with our favourite Alipus San Luis Blanco Mezal mixed with ginger infused agave, lime and Angostura Bitters. Or this below, the Smoky Ron de Banana with Plantation Dark Rum and banana honey cinnamon infused mezcal (three types of bitters is a bit loco, methinks):
Be Merry at Super Loco
There’s Lucho Loco at Duxton Hill, the family-oriented Super Loco at Robertson Quay, and Super Loco Customs House (70 Collyer Quay, #01-04). At the latter, the sweeping view of the waterfront is quite loco, creatives and bankers have been known to take evening breaks here before heading back to the grind. The group has just expanded to Jakarta, Indonesia.
