HEARD IT ON THE GRAPE G'VINE

30 Nov 2017 By

You’re Familiar with G’Vine Gin, Now Meet Its Intense Leather-Jacketed, Bike Riding Cousin – Nouaison Gin.

Intensely aromatic, yet smooth and round, Nouaison gin by G’Vine is crafted from distilled grapes and with innovative processes to give it a complex and spicy profile. The result: an alternative gin that’s meant to enhance classic cocktails.

Nouaison Gin by G’Vine was launched at Atlas Bar in Singapore, the Nobu Shoreditch in London and the Tiger Bar in Paris. Nobu Shoreditch bartender, Luca Di Patrivi, Tiger bartender, Paul Brussel, and Atlas Head Bartender, Roman Foltan, all created their own Nouaison gin by G’Vine cocktails that were served at the exclusive launch events. (Recipes below).

[ 9 Fun Facts About Atlas You Should Know ]

Crafted by Master Distiller and creator of G-Vine gin de France, Jean-Sébastien Robicquet, (the unspellable) Nouaison, meaning ‘setting’, represents the metamorphosis stage of the star ingredient, the grape, from vine flower to grape berry. The aromas, such as sandalwood, bergamot, prune and vetiveria makes it full-bodied and sexy even. With 14 botanicals and a 45% ABV, the final distillation in small batch is also unique (gin geek alert): Using a discontinuous 25HL pot still inspired from traditional Charente style shape to blend harmoniously all the components and obtain unique gin.

In short, a smooth talker with intense expressions.

The rich aromatic profile of Nouaison gin by G’Vine is particularly highlighted in classic cocktails:
